At Dog's Life on Damen, we promise your pets will get the care and attention they need, just like they get at home. We offer boarding that is an extension of our structured enrichment day care. They will enjoy our day care facility and be able to sleep overnight in comfort, preparing for the next day of play.
When it comes to dog and cat boarding in Chicago, IL our experienced attendants are also trained to notice anything abnormal - whether it's behavioral, digestive, fatigue, illness, or a flare-up of an existing medical condition - and we make sure to notify you first.
Do you have a dog with special needs? Our staff is trained to give medicines or supplements, assist with special diets, or even provide post-op surgery care at no extra charge. We encourage you to bring your dog's usual food when boarding.
Our drop-off and pick-up hours are from 7:00 am to 11:30 am and from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm daily. There is a fee of $10 for every half an hour after 7:00 pm and you must let us know if you are running late. Our prices as of October 1st, 2023 are:
- Overnight boarding - $50.00
- 10-pack of boarding - $450.00
- 20-pack of boarding - $880.00

Packages can be used anytime as long as we have availabililty and are good for a year. Additional discounts are available for larger packages and multiple dogs. You have complimentary day care for the day of pick up as long as you pick up by 11:30 am.

We do more than just dog and cat boarding in Chicago, IL! To enroll your dogs in our facility, they must complete a board visit, which includes a temperament test and a tour of our facility. We offer these visits by appointment at 10:00 am or 4:00 pm daily, including Saturdays and Sundays - they take about half an hour. We start all new dogs slowly in groups, further evaluating while they stay with us and let them tell us what they are ready for as far as group play.
All dogs must be appropriately vaccinated. We require vaccination against rabies, distemper and parvo, and Bordetella. They must have had a clear fecal within 6 months. We accept titers and three-year vaccinations. If applicable, proof of city license is required. Also, your dog must be parasite-free.
We welcome and encourage your puppies to visit us! However, they must have completed two to three rounds of their initial vaccinations. Recent scientific research has shown the health benefits of delaying spaying or neutering. We will accept unspayed or unneutered dogs for day care and boarding services depending on the circumstances. Please call for more information.
To ensure your dogs have the best possible experience, we may ask them to come for day care before the board and/or an overnight trial boarding.
